Ruadh Stac Mor

Located in the centre of Letterewe wilderness, in Wester Ross, Ruadh Stac Mor rises to a height of 918m (3012 feet) to the east of Loch Maree and is one of the most remote of all the Scotland's peaks. Its summit lies 8 miles (13 km) north of Kinlochewe. Composed of sandstone, the route to the summit contains a number of zig-zags, but is clear. The name Ruadh Stac Mor originates from Gaelic and means "bid red peak".
