Sir Muirhead Bone1876 - 1953
Artist. Bone was born in Glasgow and studied architecture and art at the Glasgow School of Art. He became famous as an artist who specialised in etching and drypoint engraving, particularly of architectural subjects. He served as an official artist during both World Wars and was knighted in 1937.
