Polmont
FalkirkA dormitory village in Falkirk Council area, Polmont is situated to the south of Grangemouth between the M9 motorway and the Union Canal. It developed in the 18th and 19th centuries in association with coal mining and the canal. The young offenders institute of HMP Polmont is located nearby.
